Methane is an attractive option in the transition towards a more sustainable and low-carbon energy system

Methane (CH4) is the main constituent of natural gas

Green methane offers a renewable and sustainable alternative to conventional methane, providing carbon neutrality, energy generation and grid stability, versatility, waste management solutions, air quality improvements, and regional energy independence. Its utilization supports the transition to a more sustainable and low-carbon energy system, contributing to mitigating climate change, improving air quality, and fostering a circular economy.

Renewable and low-carbon: Green methane can be produced using our novel Sabatier reaction chambers.  Renewable methane can be used for energy generation and grid stability: Green methane can be used as a fuel for power generation, providing a reliable and dispatchable source of renewable energy. Green methane can be used in various applications. It can be directly injected into the natural gas grid and used for heating and cooking purposes in homes. Alternatively converted into liquified natural gas (LNG) for use in trucks, buses, and ships.

Green liquid methane

How is it different?

The novel construction of our Sabatier reaction chambers and catalysts can produce 99.98% pure liquid methane

Key benefits

  • High efficiency
  • Uses far less electricity per kg of methane
  • Produces 99.98% pure methane
  • Removes CO2 from the air
  • 24-hour production
  • Can be produced at scale
