Why is a new renewable technology required?

1 - Slow Development Timelines

Renewable energy projects often take years to complete. For example, constructing a solar tower can take anywhere from three to seven years.

Improved Energy identified three major challenges facing the renewable energy sector

Although photovoltaic (PV) panels have become more affordable, integrating them with battery storage—which has limited lifespan—remains expensive and continues to hinder widespread adoption.

The regions with the most sunlight are often the least equipped with adequate grid infrastructure to support renewable energy integration. Therefore, IE can utilise the energy it generates to produce goods directly on-without the need for a grid connection.
